Thanks to the tireless efforts of our Real Estate Agent Graeme Knox, our house is finally SOLD! In what has turned out to be a frustratingly slow market, this guy was able to get us the result we were looking for, and now we can move on to the next phase of the Glenleigh Project. If you need to sell your home in the Penrith area, check out his website in the links section.

Unfortunately the next phase of the project involves the family living in a one room Granny Flat until the Glenleigh is completed. The generous offer from the parents means we can save a substantial amount on rent, and allow us to include a few upgrades we wouldn't have otherwise considered. It could also mean that not all four of us will make it into the new house, as some may not survive such close quarters living. For those of us that do, there is a faint glimmering of light at the end of what is still a very long tunnel.
That glimmer of light is from the signed off final revision of our new home plans, as shown here.

We have also selected the external colours, which will be the subject of my next post, and submitted our DA to demolish the existing "structure". With the help of my brother Kurt and half a dozen massive Samoans we have already started the demolition process, by removing a few unwanted trees from the block in preparation for the Bobcats and Bulldozers.

I'm hoping now that things should start to move along a bit quicker now, so expect more regular posts to this Blog in the coming months. Stay tuned....
